The world famous porcelain manufactory in Herend (Hungary) produces this exciting science toy. Herend Porcelain Manufactory was established in 1826, in the small village of Herend. It is the first Central European company that was elected among the French Association of Luxury Goods Manufacturers. The Porcelain Gömböc is made of white porcelain, which is fired at 1,400°C. After firing, the Gömböc shaped porcelain is hand-painted by master-craftsmen. This porcelain version is a pseudo-Gömböc because of its hollow interior, that’s why it is not intended to be a perfect copy of the original mathematical invention. It can rather be considered to be an exclusive art and design product.
